After treating friends to a preview with the “Interlude” last week, as promised Lili K has released her newest EP, My Favorite Things. Known for her lulling jazzy vocals, the latest project from the songstress breaks new ground with a genre-bending sound tooled around modern reworks of jazz standards popularized by the likes of Frank Sinatra, Sara Vaughn and Dizzy Gillespie. Meshing elements of neo-soul and hip-hop flavored rhythms Lili K gives new life to classical jazz numbers such as “Summertime” and “Fly Me to the Moon”

My Favorite Things features production provided by Peter CottonTale with contributions from Nico Segal and Greg Landfair of (Kids These Days), as well as jazz pianist William Kurk. Composed of a four tracks and a running time of just under 20 minutes, My Favorite Things is a brief, yet well put together pocket-size treat of an EP that showcases Lili K’s versatility and fond appreciation for the fine nuances of jazz. In  My Favorite Things Lili’s offers a concise collection of reworks that R&B/neo-soul fans and jazz fans alike can appreciate and enjoy.
