I first introduced Blackedout on Earmilk with his soothing organically driven track “Bambi”, which created a subtle ambient beat over calming guitar chords, layered with natural bird chirps and deep sub bass. To continue his run of downtempo bliss, Blackedout adds three more beautiful tracks to create his first self titled EP. “Suede”, “You Don’t Understand”, and “Rose” all add additional theme music for the 4 am insomniac in all of us.

On top of Blackedout’s staple ambient sound, his apparent influence of hip hop beats adds a new layer to this somewhat minimal sound. The creative use of chimes and bells along with more common hip hop beats makes for an inspiring new wave of downtempo production.
