L.A. bad girl Gita showcases her over-the-top swagger in the video for her single ‘Mardi Gras’ which just dropped on ASL Records. ‘Mardi Gras’ is her first full single after she first erupted on the scene with the early tracks ‘Let That’ and ‘Hood Rich’.

‘Mardi Gras  delivers Gita’s femme fatal persona set to an intense beat produced by London’s Darq E Freaker, the man behind the Danny Brown collabs ‘Blueberry (Pills & Cocaine)’ and ‘Cherryade’ as well as Tempa T’s ‘Next Hype’.

The accompanying video, shot by up-and-coming director Yoni Lappin, is set in an abandoned Victorian house in London, the David LaChappelle-inspired video captures Gita’s 90s-inspired visual style in an ominous, foreboding atmosphere.   She will follow ‘Mardi Gras’ with a new EP which is set for release in late spring.
