It has been almost a solid three months since Pusha T dropped off the highly-anticipated prelude to his solo debut, Wrath of Caine, an 11-track mixtape that seemingly sets the stage for a even grander production. But three months is an awfully long time, especially since Pusha’s music releases prior to the mixtape had been few and far between. Rest assured, though, Pusha-T knows this. So, like the wonderful provider he is, he is offering up something new to rattle your eardrums. The Kanye West and Don Cannon-produced “Numbers On The Boards” is vintage. It’s gritty and brash and everything we’ve come to expect from the G.O.O.D. Music affiliated half of Clipse. The production teeters on the edge of being reminiscent of a mid-90s throwback, but it still feels rooted in the here and now. The track will appear on Pusha’s first solo album with Def Jam, My Name is My Name, which is set to drop this year.
