d16 Completes the Classic Roland Triad with new TR-808 Software Clone

d16, thus far known for it’s accurate software recreations of the classic Roland TB-303 and TR-909 have completed the triad of Roland’s big three analog monsters which have been the backbone of huge percentage of dance music. The new 808 clone is set for a release in the very near future. Head over the their website and check out the samples and hear for yourself. Available as VST and AU plugins. Great work guys!!

    I’ve always used the 808 since 1985. The one I used was Ted Curriers’ machine. Ted was the producer of the mega-hit Atomic Dog by George Clinton, also The Boogie boys Fly Girl track, freestyle divas Sweet Sensation and Tony Terry’With you” I was his drum programmer and I used the 808 extensively on Sweet Sensation, the Boogie Boys,and Tony Terry. I did Tony Terry’s Lovey Dovey with the 909 though. One of the biggest 808 trax that I did was Virgin records “Black Britain”. They did a remake of “Funky Nassau” That sounded great in the clubs.
