Brothers Guy and Howard Lawrence, 22 and 19 respectively, top charts in the UK and around the world, giving garage and throwback 90s inspired hip-hop an unexpected revival. “Voices”features vocals from fellow English singer Sasha Keable and follows that exact equation incorporating hip-hop-esch drum kicks into a dreamy house beat.
Now, the emerging LA-based Le Youth aka Wes James is giving the track an energetic rework, mixing in some cascading piano chords to give “Voices” a poppy restoration. Coated in Le Youth’s signature R&B laced house sound, the West Coast producer revamps “Voices”, transforming it from a laid back production into a tireless dance floor beat.
