You might not know the name, but Jerome is a producer who has been flipping and chopping beats for quite some time now. With two decades of seasoned experience making some of the toughest house music on the block, he now debuts his first EP for DKA Records’ sister label, CGI. As the label itself aims to release some of the more unconventional electronic/ dance music made today on 12-inch singles, the partnership between Jerome and CGI seems like a match made by the house music Gods.

Perhaps what makes this double-sided release all the more special is the fact that both tracks were constructed from extended live performances Jerome submitted to the label. Shortened and polished to better appropriate a 12-inch release, both sides offer particular interpretations by Jerome’s rearrangements and restringing of core stems. Where “4B” holds true to a dub-tinged, no-gimmick house weapon, “5” feels like a galactic super nova house excursion. CGI records may be in its early stages, but so far they’ve hit nothing but gold. Grab your limited hand stamped 12-inch copy while you can.
