So far this year, the buzz around indie kings Phoenix hasn’t been limited to their own releases. While their full-length album Bankrupt! has given fans a listen into the evolving sound of the French rockers, the list of album remixes that have spun out as a result have been equally as interesting. Artists such as A-Trak, Sleigh Bells, and R. Kelly have shown that Phoenix remixes aren’t handcuffed to one genre in particular. Even Hot Natured took on a rare remix on “Entertainment” back in April, and now we’re lucky enough to get our hands on another edit from a member of the live act supergroup.

With another Ibiza summer now finished, Jamie Jones is back into release mode. Last week, he thanked fans with an edit of the classic Salt N Pepa track “Push It”, and earlier this week, he put out a strong four-track EP on his Hot Creations imprint. For all the continued support of his season at Paradise Ibiza, Jamie is giving out another edit, this time of Phoenix’s “Chloroform”. The track is beautifully melodic, bridging together thick sub-bass with the band’s smooth chord progression. It’s an accessible version of indie meets deep house, replacing pretentiousness with soothing rhythms, the perfect soundtrack to reflect back on this summer…or start planning next year’s.
