Prince, the king of funk, is back with a new single called “Da Bourgeoisie” via Kobalt Music Group. In this track, the Purple One conveys how he got dumped by his lovely lady for another woman: “I guess a man is only good for a rainy day / Maybe your just another bearded lady at the cabaret / Ray Charles even saw you in the past before he saw me / Because nothing like you ever lasts for eternity.” After getting dropped by his lovely lady for another lady, Prince shows his emotion knocked down to a lower class, hence the title “Da Bourgeoisie.”

Prince has experimented with the internet lately, tossing out singles “Fixurlifeup” and “Breakfast Can Wait” with a newly implemented funk. Not much is known about what the future holds for Prince, but we can appreciate drops like these every once in a while. As of right now it is unclear whether these songs will be on Prince’s in-the-work album, Plectrum Electrum, but the expected outcome aims high. Listen and enjoy.
