This is your Daily 2% – Chilled and Ready to Serve. We will try to bring you one “chill” track every day. This is for when you get home and you are trying to unwind. You reach for that glass of wine or that unlit Black & Mild or maybe you reach for something more herbal. This track is for those times. We are just your milkmen and I’m here to make a delivery. Chill…

Today’s delivery is brought you by Jungle. Unlike an actual jungle where things can get chaotic and messy, the artist Jungle makes smooth blends that have the ingredients from soul, funk, and electronic. They choose the mellowed out road instead of the high-octane highway that most electronic music tends to travel. One of their latest tunes, “Lucky I Got What I Want” demonstrates clearly what they’re all about. In this particular tune, there are no edgy percussion. In fact, it’s closer to a drone than anything, accompanied with modest synths and effects. Even the vocals don’t change that much. All in all, it’s a pretty linear tune, though it has an overwhelming shroud of chill hauntingly lathering us. It’s in second gear for the entire time, and that’s just how we like it.
