London Grammar has the kind of mass appeal that puts the budding trio on the verge of stardom. Their debut album If You Wait charted worldwide, and their US tour sold out left and right; with this emerging popularity comes a multitude of remixes stemming from their atmospheric sound. The spiraling “If You Wait” provides the perfect template for a producer like Budo to leave their print.

Fresh off the heels of his first solo production, Budo starts this remix sparsely, much like the original. As Hannah Reid‘s gentle vocals creep up on the listener, the Seattle native layers a flurry of different instruments and textures, most notably multi-octave vocals. Budo’s rendition balances the poignance and subtlety of the original with an array of complex soundscapes, making this one of the best London Grammar remixes to date.
