Rapper/actor/producer/designer/uber-millionaire Diddy‘s most recent stint in the music world came by way of the short-lived group Diddy-Dirty Money. Their keystone single–and quite frankly the only song anyone remembers from the trio–“Coming Home” is a story of triumph and jubilance. The hook from Skylar Grey and bouncing string section carried the song well up the charts, so don’t be alarmed if this is stashed away in your iTunes from years past.

Combs’ group, a self-proclaimed “movement” of positivity and joy becomes negligible as Royal and LeGinge display absolutely none of their characteristics in this edit. The duo saps all brightness out of the original, turning their rendition into a murky, bass-ridden explosion. The once discernible chorus is warped and twisted beyond recognition, fusing well over womping bass lines.
