The New Zealand duo BROODS don’t give you a fighting chance.  Georgia and Caleb Nott have only just arrived on the scene, but they’re already making waves.  It doesn’t take long for you to fall in love with “Bridges.”  The reverbed hush of the vocals and the cathedral piano open a confessional tone and atmospheric swells start to filter in and out.  The vocal cut-up stutter is a hook that won’t let go.  When the vocals sink deep into delay and thick kicks with bright claps come, you realize the song itself is a bridge to cross.  It’s the sound of the ocean beneath you.
