The man is everywhere.  From late night talk shows, to daytime talk shows, to Elliot Wilson interviews, to Sportscenter, FIFA commercials, and features on Justin Timberlake songs, Drake’s release of Nothing Was The Same today has been his most hyped effort to date.  September 24th is the day, and Drizzy doesn’t want anyone to forget it.

“Hold On, We’re Going Home,” is the second single off his new album, a pure pop smash that has already went gold.  Today, we get the brand new music video/short film that features A$AP Rocky and the OVO crew in 1985 Miami as mob bosses.  Between the cinematic gun scenes, lavish mansion shots and a love affair between Drake and his beautiful woman, it’s clear the Young Money rapper has done some acting before.

Giving new meaning to his lines, “just hold on, we’re going home,” Drake rescues his kidnapped lover amidst a chaotic gunfight.   As always, Drake is doing the unexpected, and he’s doing it in a big way.  Solidifying him as one of the new “kingpins” of the rap game.  Nothing Was The Same is in stores now.
