Noah’s Heark is like a Lali Puna that’s comfortable with silence.  Coming off the Little Tree EP from Mooshy Moo, “Blue Breathes” is remarkable.  The concept of dimension, the crisp production, but most of all, it’s the transformation from beginning to end that is so stunning. Opening with a clean marimba and acoustic guitar serve, the two build a huge sense of space.  The muted tones and wholesome instrumentation give off a meditative soundtrack vibe.  That is, until the acoustic guitar makes a second pass, reversed. It’s when the marimba disappears altogether that things get real.  The claps and glitch production take over.  Just wait for the stickwork near the end.  And boy does this song close. Blue might breathe, but you’ll be holding your breath before this track’s over.
