Trying to guess the direction of a new Grum track may be as difficult as trying to categorize his sound. With releases that range from 80s-tinged nu disco on “Show Me The Night” to the deep house melancholy of this year’s “Everytime”, it’s clear that Graeme Shepherd has a huge range of influences in his productions. This time he’s back with a track set to be featured on the UK producer’s second full-length, Human Touch.

With a walking bassline that’s as inviting as the airy synths that float on top of it, “The Theme” hugs a happy medium between a groovy Ibiza tune and a Pryda-like progressive house epic. With support from Pete Tong’s weekly as well as fellow countrymen Alex Metric and Tensnake, the end of the season shouldn’t slow down this late night summer jam.
