Joining 2013’s summertime-all-the-time philosophy (a fact made exceptionally apparent with their Viceroy collaboration on “While We’re In Love”), Ghost Beach‘s Brooklyn boys announce their plans for an upcoming tour and a remastered singles release. The duo comprised of Eric Mendelsohn and Josh Ocean have found success by tapping into the electro pop vibes of decades past, reinventing shimmering melodies that never went away but have seen a reemergence in the last few years. From their sophomore album Modern Tongues, “Been There Before” and “Miracle” will go under the knife, aided by engineer Greg Calbi who also has worked with the Yeah Yeah Yeahs and MGMT.

Ministry of Sound resident Nathan C adds to the August 27th remasters, transforming “Miracle” from a swaying pool-side groove to a driving progressive house track. Here the BPM rises to club levels and Josh’s vocals blur into a reworked melody, which tapers into the climbs and reawakens to hit hard on the drop’s downbeats.

Ghost Beach will be accompanying fellow musician Robert DeLong on the first half of his North American tour*, then continuing on afterwards with three festival performances, including Tomorrow World’s debut appearance in the USA.
