Just when we thought we couldn’t love/envy her more, we find out that Cara Delevingne can sing. She joins longtime pal, London musician Will Heard for an acoustic take on his song “Sonnentanz (Sun Don’t Shine)” – originally an iTunes chart-topper by Klangkarussell.
The two have apparently known each other for years, and their seamless ability to connect vocally reflects this kinship. You envision them having an impromptu jam session — juking out, vibing off each other’s harmonies and letting go. It feels kind of like those days at the end of summer that have the cool breeze kick. Or like Ryan Adams with a Jason Mraz twist.
The intro is a series of guitar strums and “oohs” care of Cara. It’s already good from the get-go. And then it just gets better. Cara sounds exactly as you’d imagine. Husky and demure at the same time, and kind of the auditory version of her look: striking, masculine-chic and entirely captivating. Do yourself a favor and check it out.
