The Kansas hailing creator of the most lush beats known to “this place we call earth” has released a triple threat of sexy sounds. While Morri$ is a producer of “electronic music”, I assume he prefer not to be categorized as such. Live instrumentation is included and performed by him for the majority of his musical works. If you are not up to date on the process of electronically created music, live instrumentation has been mostly abandoned so obviously when pertaining to Morri$, you’re in for a treat.

“Maison Purple” samples Robin Thicke‘s classic vocals from “Lost Without You” but truly does them justice with a selection of chaotic yet contained percussion and grooving tones. Deeply pulsating bass lines and glimmering high pitched melodies compliment the already super-sensual vocal hooks. Definitely a “get down to business” type of tune.

The live sounding nature of the drums in “A Missed Call” cause it to stand out immediately. Once again the lushness of Morri$‘ style takes over the track. Echoing vocal chops, analog synth style leads, computer talking arpeggios…the works. I’d like to think this track is a perfect marriage of electronic and live elements. Sip slow and enjoy.

“Breakfast at Richmans (Bronze Serenade)” is by no means an electronic song. It is a 2 minute and 31 second long wave of pure audio bliss. I’ve never once had to review a song produced by an electronic producer that is purely orchestral in nature. The melancholy yet romantic swelling of string instruments are accompanied by tinkling bells and fluttering melody of grand piano. Brass instruments and light sleigh bell type percussion carry the beat along softly. Morri$ also informed me that he composed and recorded an actual orchestra in Hollywood to produce this beautiful serenade. Mute your favorite black and white french film and play this on repeat.

All three tunes are set to be available for purchase soon on his own label Team Bear Club.
