London, UK’s Reuben Hollebon returns after eight months of silence. Following the release of the experimental yet introverted Clutch EP, “Faces” delves into deeper, more emotional waters. Although we still are able to recognize Hollebon’s signature falsetto vocals and haunting guitar plucks, his sound has made its first step towards the world Arcade Fire, Local Natives and Reuben and the Dark find themselves in.

Said to be replicated by a four piece band live, Hollebon’s “Faces” came to be not only because of his reconstructed musical approach, but also because of his collaborations with UK-based producers Craigie Dodds and Charlie Hugall. The soft strumming when placed alongside Hollebon’s melancholy vocals has the ability to melt your speakers, which has us itching to hear more. It’s an alternative piece that warrants transnational attention, and that’s exactly what Reuben Hollebon deserves.

“Faces” is available as of today for free download, and will be followed up by an official single coming this Fall. If you find yourself in the UK around that time, you’ll be lucky enough to catch a live date or two.
