Welcome back to The Club! We’ll keep the intro short and sweet this week: hope you’re enjoying the new features, have a great weekend and don’t forget to support your favorite artists on Beatport!

THE CLUB

Aerofoil
A New World [EP]

TRXX
TRXX213

Though this EP isn’t the newest release we have on The Club this week, it deserves way more coverage than it’s gotten in the rest of the blogging world. The French electro inspired sounding A New World comes to us from New York’s own Aeroloid, who if you Google, the internet will show you that they’re very up and coming. Seemingly elusive, Aeroloid’s music has spoken for itself, with listeners responding well in support of A New World through its impressive spot on the top 100 Beatport electro house charts. Out on TRXX Records, this EP has a unique sound that’s somewhere between Daft Punk and fellow TRXX signee Joe Garston. Check out both tracks below!

FREE DOWNLOADS

Rone
Bye Bye Macadam (Gabriel & Dresden Bootleg)

Free Download
7/23/13

Oakland-based duo Gabrien & Dresden posted a free download on their Soundcloud earlier this week that’s tagged only as “emotional dance music.” But after a few listens, I’m not sure if that tag really sums up the essence of their remix of Rone’s “Bye Bye Macadam.” Layered with the futuristic synths that G&D are so good at, this remix elicits a dizzying visceral reaction to those “emotional” progressions throughout the track. It’s one of those productions where I really think that everyone will have a different reaction upon listening to “Bye Bye Macadam,” so give it a try (and snag the download).

MIXES

Moguai
Punx Up the Volume

Episode 54
7/22/13

German electro artist Moguai has been a name in the game for over ten years now. Having a techier outlook on his music production, his kinetic sound has been a familiar partner with Deadmau5 and opening our eyes to the possibility of a happier and spritely vision for the often dark subgenre of electro house. This week he’s posted episode 54 of his radio show MOGUAI presents Punx up the Volume, and shows us why radio shows can act as refreshers for our ears, allowing DJs to have much more fun and freedom in their mixing than something like a 1-hour festival set allows. Jumping from deep house to techno to trance and back to his own electro, this week’s episode is impressive, fun and keeps us on our toes.
